We are known as Cornerstone because, according to 1 Peter 2: 4-10, as Christians we are living stones being built into a spiritual house - the church - of which Jesus Christ is himself the Cornerstone. We are called Evangelical because we believe the Bible to be the perfect and sufficient Word of God for all time and all people, our sure guide in faith and practice. We are a church made up of people from many denominational backgrounds (including Anglican, Baptist, Methodist, Brethren and Pentecostal), united in our evangelical convictions and priorities. We practise believers’ baptism and congregational church government. We are a family of people committed to God and to each other.
