Pray for those who will enter the new Cornerstone building in the years ahead: the children, the adults young and old, the unsaved and the seeking, and people from many different countries.

Pray that Cornerstone may always be Biblically faithful in its teaching and truly godly in its life as a church. Pray that we may always be a church in mission: sound in faith and doctrine, ready to witness and evangelise, and sent by God to many parts of the globe.

Thank God for the use of the school through these past sixteen years and all the blessings of our time here. Pray for the good of the school, its governors, its staff and its pupils.

Give thanks to God for his provision of freehold land in a visible, strategic location in our City. Praise him for the way he has overruled in circumstances large and small to enable us to purchase this plot of land for His glory.

Pray that we would work together in unity and love as we decide upon how we are to develop the site. Pray for wisdom in decision making and for clarity in understanding how to make the best use of the site for the many ministries of the church.

Pray that this plot of land will be a home for Gospel ministry and mission for generations to come. Pray too for the ongoing security of the site through the purchase and development process.

Praise God for his amazing provision of the money so far, enabling us to purchase land without needing a mortgage.

Pray that God will continue to provide the necessary finances for the project and that each one of us will be open to our Lord’s challenge to give sacrificially, freely and with a cheerful heart in accordance with His great blessing to us.

Thank God that we received approval of our planning application for a change of use of the Castle Boulevard site.

Pray that discussions with the City Council will continue to be productive, warm and honouring to God as we discuss our plans for the development of a new building. Pray for all those involved in making the decisions, reviewing the applications and preparing the documents.

Praise God that He reigns supreme over the timing and content of all our plans and decisions.

Pray that God will grant us widsom to make the right decisions, large or small, throughout the life of the project. Pray for all those involved in the decision making process, especially the elders, that God would grant them unity in mind and heart.

Praise God that He has always provided for our needs throughout our Church’s life. Praise Him for the fact that His timing has meant that we have not needed to borrow money up to this point.

Pray that God will give us wisdom as we develop budgets and financial plans to support the creation of a home for the ministries of Cornerstone. Pray that we will be obedient to the leading of the Holy Spirit in all our plans and decisions.

Praise God for the way in which He has provided the necessary skills and experience to the project when we have needed it. Give thanks for all of those who have willingly given of their time to the project over the last two years.

Pray for all those that will be involved through the design and construction phases. Pray for the process of selection of external companies; that we will find the right balance between using volunteers and professional companies.
