4 to 11 Year Olds

Sunday Morning Bible Workshops

Children aged 4 to 11 participate in the main service until approximately 11.05am. Age-specific bible workshop classes are organised, corresponding with school years when appropriate. Currently the children are split as follows: Reception/Year 1 class, Year 2 class, Year 3-4 class and Year 5-6 class. Each class have age-appropriate teaching from the Bible and will also do various craft activities and games to reinforce this teaching. Parents are asked to collect children from the classes after the service has finished until the children reach the year 3-4 class.

Childrens Praise!

On the second and fourth Sundays children aged 4-11 participate in Children's Praise - an age-appropriate singing and praise service for children. This is an alternative to the main-service and runs from 10.30am until approximately 11.05am. Children's Praise invovles singing, prayer and illustrative activities. A team of musicians provide the music and singing is lead by a group leader in similar style to the main service.

Ignite

Ignite is a Friday night meeting for children in school years 4-6 which meets from 6 - 7.45pm at the Bluecoat School. Ignite provides more of a chance for socialising activities than the Sunday morning meetings, but retains a strong teaching element. Children are also encouraged to invite their friends who might not usually attend church and, as such, Ignite is a means of introducing friends and their family to Cornerstone.
