Students are a really significant part of the life of Cornerstone, and over the years many hundreds of students, from all over the world, have been part of our church family.
The first step for our students is to come to either (or both!) of our Sunday services, and then to play a full part in church life, serving and being part of small groups. We’re also very supportive of the Christian Unions at Trent University (www.trentcu.com) and Nottingham University (www.nucu.org)
Illuminate Lunches
These are taking place on the 29th of January and 5th of February and are a great way for all the new students to get to know each other, the student team (and to escape hall food for the day!) These lunches will also include discussions on various issues that students in Nottingham face.
Afterhourscafé:
There will be an afterhourscafe after the evening service on the 19th & 26th February and 4th, 11th & 25th March. Here, students have a chance to get know each other better, know the church better and also learn more about God. All taking place in a relaxed environment and accompanied by hot chocolate and cakes.
Student Weekend Away:
16th-18th of March, we will be going back to the Harby Centre in Leicestershire to explore what it means to be Seeking First the Kingdom, and also to spend some time having fun with each other, including a ceilidh!
To ensure you can make the most of your time with us, and keep up to date with everything that’s happening, join our group on Facebook: ‘Students @ Cornerstone 2011-2012’

A whole bunch of people within the church have a real heart for students, and the student team is headed up by John Russell, Gillian Lazonby and Felicity Mildred.
